Story

Link is done saving the oracles and now has been directed toward Koholint, an island that he has only been to in his dreams. (Link's Awakening) After losing his sword in a fight with Ganon, Link finds a secret weapon. the Staff of Nevara, that can become anything the wielder owns or has owned.

The Game itself will be loaded with tons of monsters on the map and will use keyboard input to make numerous combo attacks, instead of the same simple one hit sword, If at all possible as development goes on, it will have an advanced mode which will allow you to use the mouse to move your char. and allow for more combo's therfor more enimies,

The Audio in the game rocks, Litterarly, the Bgm in the game will be traditional zelda but all the songs will be rocked up to add more flavor and a faster pace feel to this new faster pased zelda.

It looks pretty good, you should try to make some new items for link instead of just the old ones though s:
It looks kinda similar to something I've seen before though... Might've been a sample game from gamemaker or the project zelda thing though s: And I'd like to see some bosses :D
Also, please, make navi mute XD

And... you think you could point me towards that 'battle animation below layers' script? XD I'm using charactersets atm, and it can get pretty laggy sometimes 0_o

Items: I like the idea of different items and agree 99.9 % but there has to be a middle ground, Im changing Zelda gameplay as we all know it as time progresses and i need some similiar features to the classics to make it appealing, items like the Bow, Bombs, Boomerang, and Hookshot have been around for ages but i was thinking the middle ground could be Combining Items.

My concept For gaining items stays true to the story line, In each Dungeon You will gain a memory of the item you had once before ex: the Boomerang, and one combo for that item, Use Bombs with boomerang for the bomberang, or Get the memory of White Sword and the combo for spin attack which allows you to now use a Powerful Spin attack etc....

What do you think? (sorry for not explaining that in detail before)

Seen before: The Game is built on the project engine, But it is nothign like the project engine , Infact most common controls and scripts etc will or have been changed to achieve the goal i am seeking, most grpahics have or will be changed as well, im using the engine simply for the Abs, and tilesets and prebuilt events, other then that it is soley mine, of course credit is and will be givin to aceofspades mastermind and the team.

Navi Mute: COnsidering the game will be fast pace, i will need navi to have some avaible abilities maybe have her act as a familiar of sorts for healing if a certain combo is complete or something, but she will deff be tips, but per your request, instead of that annoying "hey listen" i will use some other SE that is gentler and not so redundant.

and finally last on your list


Animation Below Layers


Again keep the ideas coming, Im really looking for all the ideas, critisism and avaible help i can get, Thanks alot (especially good scripters for keyboard mouse with this system, non of the standards seem to work]


@poke Can you format them Rmxp as well?

im deff looking for Some people for graphics :-)

Looks good i like Zelda games.

Been playing them since the first one came out.

That said link has had a lot of items in his adventures, are you going to use all of them or just the Snes ones or Variations from all of the games/mixed items.

I want to add all the items, i want this to be the most advanced 2d Zelda game there has ever been (has always set goals high) and certain ones with the ability to combine for combo attacks, :-D who better to test my games then another huge fan *nudges* *hint* *whistles* >.> <.<

Keep sending in your ideas as well, Im a firm believer that the more input a developer has the better his game will be to the player, Not to go off topic but i program software privatly for homes and buisnesses and its always better to get there specifications for te software then just to go ahead and develop it, so please input ideas and comments , thank you all agian :D

Mostly i need Npc's and tiles sets, especially indoors and dungeons, are deff needed, and anythign else really, i have overworld, and all interactive items covered, some monsters and bosses etc

No text shows up on the top part of the enter name window s:
The battle music isn't that great for the area, good for a boss fight though s:
Needs new transitions from map to map,
and the demo could use some enemies or something to actually do ;p

Im working on the no text thing
Thanks for the review, i like the ideas, ( so i went ahead and changed BGM to a more appropriate Upbeat Version) :D
This is not gonna be your classic zelda, the game will be set at a much faster pace so music cant be boring old zelda midis, in my oppinion anyway, i will finish a more detailed demo with some built in instruction guids and host it sometime today, thanks alot again

Keep the Reviews ideas, support and help coming

Possible to get some monsters together?
