So, I just watched Tommy Wiseau's The Room last night.

In my experience, movies that are "hilariously bad" are in truth painful to watch. Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter and Manos: The Hands of Fate made me laugh nervously for the first few minutes and then made me squirm at how awful they were. Everything about this movie is terrible: the writing, the acting, the blocking... and Tommy Wiseau's strange accent and strange inflections (or lack thereof) top it all.

But watching The Room wasn't the least bit painful. In fact, it was incredibly entertaining. I haven't laughed so hard throughout an entire movie since I saw Dorkness Rising. If you're into bad films, I recommend watching this movie with a group of friends and a drink or two.
