Perhaps not to everyone's tastes, but this music always gets me pumped, especially in a game like XCOM (THE best strategy game I've played so far, and perhaps the only thing I've preordered in my LIFE [no wait nevermind, I also preordered Monaco]).

Your squadmates have fallen. Chrysalids everywhere. You've been poisoned by Thinmen. Thankfully your rescued hostage is alive. Then BOOM! CRASH! POW! You fight your way back to the ship and fly off.

FF6 battle themes. Love it! Such great music.

Anyone ever play Vandal Hearts 2?


This was an excellent game. It remains my second favorite of all Tactic games.

That game had a very interesting setup. Its 2 gods that were fighting in an immortal duel sealed each other. From which life grew. Something they do later, wakes the gods up again to finish their fight. I think..

I try to read about many games, even if I dont get to play them.


So allow me to toss this out there. Not so much of battle music, but mood setting none the less.

Halo. All be it FPS game, I very much enjoyed the music on it.
