I didn't know there even was a DS Game Maker. What'll you do with it when you're done? Is it just for you or does DS have a community of these kinds of games?

Coincidentally (and something you don't expect me to say), I'm working on a game as well. Dunno if I mentioned but I got accepted for an Artist (okay maybe you can expect that) internship in a Game Innovation Program (used to be called Gambit). I have 2 Programmers on my team to handle the actual making of the game and I'm handling the art assets. We do have one Designer, but we have a system where everyone's allowed to pitch in (and in honesty, 80% of the design is from me).

Can't show anything off since there's this whole NDA business, but perhaps it wouldn't hurt to say that for now, I'd describe it as a mash-up between Plants vs. Zombies and endless runner games.

Hope our team finishes, and when we do you guys can play it on Android.

Despite the name, it has nothing to do with Game Maker. It's kinda funny, the guy who made it has a page on his website about how, even though the name says Game Maker, and the icons, buttons, functions, scripts, etc, are all from Game Maker, it's still totally different guise.

It's too buggy to be Game Maker brand, anyway. But still, I can haz homebrew DS games. I don't mean to cast it in a bad light, it's still a pretty nifty program and it really is pretty similar to Game Maker. If you can use one, you can use the other.

As for community, all I know of is the creator's own forum, where half the threads are out of date and new posts are infrequent. I've tried looking for more, but failed. Perhaps my Google-fu is weak.

Anyway, I'm interested in how an endless runner plants v zombies game would look. On one hand, I don't like endless runners because I'm really really bad at timing the jumps right, and most of them don't have stories worth mentioning. Like, if it had an interesting story/atmosphere like that one flash mouse maze game you made, that'd be really cool. Certainly, we'd like it if you posted more about your project when you can.

In other news, I'm running a minecraft server now for my university campus. Unfortunately my router broke so I can choose to have the internet xor the server up.

EDIT:
Screenshot of game.

My friend gave me a PDF of his C++ book he had from college. I want to start reading it, but I can't stop playing games in the evening. ><

Picture this: A seedy cantina on Tatooine. Greedo draws a blaster at Han Solo. Han has his blaster out, concealed under the table. Two shots go off and Greedo falls to the ground. People quesiton who shot first. Later, an autopsy reveals a Bat-a-rang embedded in Greedo's chest...

It probably happened that way.

Signed an NDA so I can't actually talk about it until it's released. Not bad so far. One of my team's programmers is an ass who's trying to manipulate the game into his uninspiring vision. I actually raised my voice at some point when he dismissed an idea the entire team (including our Game Designer) created because of "a feeling". So far I can still handle his shit and he finishes his work. As long as I mute him I'll be fine. Gotta remember his name so we won't ever ever ever run into each other again.

Also, minecraft's still a thing, huh? I get bored way too easily so appreciate a game like Notch's diamond mine.

MINECRAFT IS A SAINT!

Try the Tekkit and/or Tekkit Lite mod packs. They have machinery and stuff. Makes minecraft a lot more interesting.

So I've been getting into retro console modding lately. I know that's a random thing to bring up, but there you go. I've done so many mods to my Master System II that you could pretty much call it the Master Zord II. There's still quite a few left to do, though.
